 Our Process Starts With YOU

Our process doesn't start with anything more than a client’s drive to improve their credit standing. Whether it is to lower their interest rates, qualify for a mortgage or recover after a bankruptcy. Whatever the reason, it all starts there, with the consumer having a drive and desire to better their life.

Great American is very systematic in its approach to all prospective clients when we are first contacted.  Our procedures are designed so that we accept only clients who can benefit from our program and achieve results which will be satisfactory to them.

In brief, here are the step we take in our process:

Pre-Qualification

Before accepting a client, we speak with them and obtain some basic non-identifying information from them in order to assess whether or not they fit the parameters of consumers whom we can help. We don't have a magic wand to make everyone's problems go away, and so we only select those whom we have a high confidence that we can help.

Credit Report Evaluation

We examine the credit reports of qualifying clients. This report can be obtained either from the clients themselves or we can help them get a free credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com. Once received, a credit repair specialist will review the report thoroughly and arrive at an evaluation of the current situation.

This evaluation becomes the basis for the next two steps.

Free Consultation

Once you determine that you want a better life, one of our credit specialists  will begin with a free, five-point consultation in which we will first analyze your unique credit situation in order to thoroughly understand your particular situation. Next, we will take the necessary time to educate you about your current credit standing. That process consists of going over all derogatory credit accounts, collections, judgments, tax and civil liens, bankruptcies, excessive inquiries and other related items. We will then go over all of your interrelated personal information in order to best understand the situation at hand. We will then discuss whether Great American is right for your particular situation, as it may not always be in the consumer's best interest to retain our services

Creation Of A Detailed Action Plan.

On the strength of a detailed credit report evaluation and the client's inputs obtained from the previous step, we will now be in a position to arrive at a detailed action plan that will be different for each client.

Client Signs Agreement For Services

No money for the $99 set-up fee is accepted until after a mandatory 5 day rescission period.  However, during this time, Great American sends out is first set of dispute letters.  You will be billed $79  per month at the end of each 30 day work period.

Obtain All Credit Reports And Scores

Great American at its expense will help you pull a 3-in- credit report for all 3 bureaus and all their credit scores.  While  we monitor the number of deletions successfully accomplished on your reports, we also want to track improvement in your credit scores from the outset. This step is done every ninety days as long as you remain on the program.  – again at no expense to you.  Naturally, it is assumed that you will continue to handle all your current financial responsibilities  prudently and make all required payments on time …otherwise all the positive work we achieve will be wiped out instantly! 

Welcome To Our Family

Once you sign up, simply relax, and we will take care of everything.  Shortly after your sign up, You’ll receive Welcome Package in the mail and a welcome call from a member of our team congratulating you on your smart decision to get your credit repaired with Great American.  We will explain all the benefits of our program and gladly answer any further questions you have.  Through your entire service term, you can email, call or use our support center website at anytime.  We will promptly respond to your requests.

Each month your credit repair specialist will call you to go over the file and let you know how we are doing.  This is a great time for you to ask any questions which you may have.

 Start Receiving Updates From The Credit Bureaus

You should receive your first response from the credit bureaus within 45 days. It is not uncommon for the bureaus to send a letter of confirmation simply stating they have received your dispute within the first two weeks. You will also receive full updates from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion throughout that time frame. It is very important that you do not respond to any correspondence from the credit bureaus, as there is a high probability of hindering the credit restoration process if you choose to do so.

Receive And Forward Your Correspondence

It is imperative that you forward all of the information that you receive from the credit bureaus within 48 hours of receipt and allow us to take the necessary and appropriate actions. The correspondence sent by the credit bureaus is often confusing and difficult to understand. You may be tempted to make notes and mark the updates from the bureaus. But please do not do this as it may interfere with the processing of your file. If you wish to make notes on the accounts listed within the update, you are welcome to do so using a separate sheet of paper. It is extremely important that your correspondence is legible and in the correct order. Ensuring your documents are legible and in the correct order allows us to be efficient while keeping your personal file accurate. You can scan and upload  this information directly into our website or you can mail it to us using the address labels provided in your welcome package.
